成瀬 正樹 (Consultant Editor) Format: Mook Electric Bass & Guitar Editorial Review
The "DVD & CDでよくわかる! やめてのエレキ・ギター New Edition" has received a mix of positive and negative reviews from users, especially those with varying levels of experience in playing guitar. Many customers appreciate the comprehensive layout of the instructional material, which is rich with photographs that clearly show finger placements, making it particularly accessible for beginners. The incorporation of DVDs provides visual aids for understanding rhythm and finger movements. Reviewers noted that the structured progression from Part 1 to Part 5 of the material is straightforward and easy to follow, making the learning process smooth. However, the positive reception is somewhat marred by criticism regarding some of the tablature in the back of the book, which has been pointed out to contain errors when compared to the original songs. These discrepancies can lead to frustration for learners who may question the accuracy of the fingering and positioning as they practice. Additionally, reviewers noted that the later sections contain material that is not suitable for beginners, suggesting a steep increase in difficulty that could deter new players. Music selections were critiqued for being overly complex, thereby complicating the learning journey rather than facilitating it. Overall, while the teaching book is deemed helpful and effective for building foundational skills, the inConsistency in song arrangements and the potential for abrupt jumps in difficulty could challenge learners, particularly those who thrive on a steady, gradual progression. **
