SharkBite Pipe Fittings UC020LFA Editorial Review
The SharkBite 12 Inch Crimp Coupling is a brass plumbing fitting that can be used to connect PEX Pipe and PE-RT. In-wall use is approved by SharkBite, so it can be used without access panels. SharkBite also approves the use of this product underground with the additional use of silicon wrap for protection. The product works well with PEX A tubing ensuring that it is complying with ASTM F876 or CSA B137.5. The product has received mixed reviews from customers. Some have found it easy to use and have had no problems even as a novice. Others have not been confident about its permanence and have pointed out that the packaging states that it may contain lead. The price is OK, but it is found lower at stores such as Home Depot and Lowe's.
