تفاصيل المنتج
- Kyle Anderson is fresh out of college and disillusioned by who he's become. His quest leads him to the small mountain hamlet of Buttermilk Falls. Could the town's name be any more lame? Still, the people at Maggie's Diner seem friendly enough. Kyle discovers an old abandoned mill and foundry that would make the prefect restaurant and art gallery. But he's flat broke. Rowdy Long, a retired rodeo cowboy has his hands full raising his teen-aged daughter, Charlotte on the shores of nearby Lost Lake. Charlotte has a talent for art and a knack for picking losers for friends. The old mill has caught Rowdy's eye, too. If he had his way, he'd retore the idle paddle wheel, paint it bright red and turn the old mill into a burger joint with an old-fashioned soda fountain along the back wall. Wishful thinking for an old cowboy. Sheriff Buck suspects foul play when the orphaned boy, Max gets mixed up with a skeleton in a cellar and Kyle meets the woman of his dreams, only to have her job with the EPA turn into his worst nightmare? Only in Buttermilk Falls can you count on the plump, black pollywogs in a moss-filled mason jar to grow legs-and on ordinary folks to pull together-giving each other a second chance for impossible dreams to come true. Patricia Hartmann is the author of historical romances: The Ojai-Pink Moment Promises, and Yosemite-One Last Golden Summer. Romance novel Secrets of Sandpiper Cove, and the Buttermilk Falls series: Lonesome Mountain, Lost Lake, and The Old Mill. She lives with her husband in Ojai, California in a 160-year-old farmhouse on a nine-acre farm where they grow pixie tangerines and feed a wild rabbit called Honey Bunny. She treasures the warmth of small town life where shopkeepers know your name, as well as your business, and where no one is in too much of a hurry to stop and chat. They have a his/mine/and ours family of eight children, fifteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Patricia is a farmer, teacher, writer and artist whose signature is to paint the artwork for each of her book covers. Visit her website at patriciahartmannbooks.com
