Thames & Kosmos Science Kits & Toys 620393 Editorial Review
The Thames & Kosmos CodeControl Robo Dozr Engineering & Robotics Kit offers an engaging blend of Construction and programming designed to capture the interest of young builders. Many customers report a positive overall experience, noting that while the initial assembly stage can be challenging, it ultimately fosters a sense of accomplishment in children. Reviews highlight the importance of adult involvement during assembly, as some children may lose interest without guidance. However, once built, many kids experience great joy in both playing with and programming the robotic bulldozer. The kit encourages creativity and problem-solving, particularly through its programming features, which allow kids to set up obstacle courses and obstacles, thereby enhancing their coding skills while having fun. Many parents appreciate the educational potential of the toy, emphasizing that it serves as a solid introduction to robotics and engineering principles. Despite the overwhelmingly positive feedback, some reviews mention concerns regarding the durability of certain parts and occasional quality control issues, like receiving missing pieces or having components break after use. The speed of the bulldozer is also noted to be slower than some might expect, and there are complaints about certain functionalities, such as the shovel not being adjustable. In summary, the Thames & Kosmos CodeControl Robo Dozr is a worthwhile investment for parents looking to provide their children with an educational and enjoyable hands-on experience in engineering and robotics. **
