CTA Tools Calipers & Parts Editorial Review
The CTA Tools 1455 Disc Brake Piston Cube has garnered a positive reception among customers for its effectiveness and affordability, positioned as a practical solution for those looking to work on their vehicle's brake systems. Users express satisfaction with how well the tool operates when paired with a 3/8" drive impact tool, highlighting its capacity to simplify the process of retracting pistons with minimal effort. This is particularly true for vehicles equipped with wind-back calipers, where users note that it performs comparably to much more expensive alternatives. Many reviewers appreciate the solid Construction of the tool, contradicting any preconceived notions one might have regarding its low price point. It successfully fits a variety of vehicles, as evidenced by its successful application on models like the 2005 Ford Freestyle and Honda Si. However, some limitations are mentioned, with a few users reporting compatibility issues with specific rear calipers, such as for the 2009 Ford Flex and 2001 VW Jetta. Overall, the tool is recognized as a reliable value for DIY mechanics, particularly for those who may not want to invest heavily in more expensive brake tools. While it has some limitations regarding fitment, its ease of use and ability to significantly streamline the brake servicing process have made it a popular choice. **
