The tabletop can be adjusted to three different angle positions with a light upward touch and will lock in place with a downward touch. It supports up to 25 pounds of evenly distributed weight when in its lowest position. It has a range of 28''-40'' from its lowest to highest setting in a flat position; and with the table in a tilt position, the highest clearance is lowered to 35''-37.5'' in the medium tilt position. Some users report that it was easy to assemble and raise/lower, but others said it broke on arrival or was weak and cheesy. The table may not go as low as most people would be comfortable, especially when used over a chair or sofa.
